Description
Nederlands: Het Rijnland ziekenhuis in Leiderdorp. Beeld De Zon van Theo Schepens tegen de gevel naast de entree van het ziekenhuis. Drie figuren nemen verschillende houdingen aan, geïnspireerd op Indiase expressieve dans, en verbeelden de gemoedsveranderingen van droevig naar kwaad naar opgewonden, emoties die passen in de context van een ziekenhuis. Ook de materialen waarin het beeld is uitgevoerd hebben een symboolfunctie: koolstof, het meest voorkomende element in het heelal, en corrosiebestendig goud als symbool voor zon, licht en warmte.
