Summary[edit]

Description
English: 2×12 volt, Varta GLS 12/50 lead acid batteries used to offer back up power to what I assume is a fire alarm system.

This was located in the ground floor generator and battery room of the former heat/power plant in the Finnish town of Riihimäki.

The lack of charging circuitry, temporary nature of the connections and that the batteries have leaked and corroded badly make me believe this was used after the plant closed, while workers were clearing it out ready for re-purposing or demolition.
