Summary[edit]

Description

Before Clitheroe interchange was constructed, the main bus terminus in the town was Well Terrace, which is where we find Stagecoach Ribble 2158 a coach seated ECW bodied Leyland Olympian new in 1984, working the Blackburn service. IOt is passing an Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M operated by Burnley & Pendle which is picking up Skipton bound passengers on the lengthy 280 service from Southport.

In 2010 both of these operators are now subsidiaries of Transdev and whilst the 225 service is still operated by Blackburn's former Ribble Garage at manner Sutton Street, as a through bus to Bolton, the tender for the 280 has passed through a number of operators, and is now operated by Transdev using Wright bodied Volvos from Blackburn's Intack garage.
