Text Appearing Before Image:
AMARYLLIS. Probably the most magnificent and gorgeous bulbous plant known. Their immense flowers, richness of coloring and habit are simply incom- parable. They throw up spikes from 18 in. to 3 ft. high, bearing enormous trumpet-shaped flowers, averaging 6 to 10 in. across, of great substance, some being of rich and glowing colors, others delicately shaded and superbly veined. For pot culture in the window, conservatory or greenhouse they are well adapted, and when in bloom in the winter and spring months, no flower can approach their beauty. We can offer ten varieties at 75 cts. each. AGAPANTHUS. (African Lily.) Splendid ornamental plants, bearing large clus- ters of bright blue and pure white flowers on long flower stalks, and lasting a long time in bloom. There is no finer plant than this for outdoor deco- ration, planted in large pots or tubs on the lawn, terrace or piazza. It does well in the house or greenhouse In winter, requiring but slight protec- tion. It is a rapid grower and gross feeder, and the chief point in its cultivation is to divide the plants before the pots or tubs become overcrowded with roots. Strong clumps. Umbellatus. Bright blue. Ea. 20c. doz. $2.00. Large plants in 10-in. pots. Ea. $2.00.
