And here comes the tractor again. We had just passed him for the second time. Worse, on the second pass we came uncomfortably close to a head-on collision situation, discovering an oncoming pick-up truck coming around the curve not very far ahead of us before we were even halfway though the pass. He came up to us and asked if everything was OK! We explained that we were from Souris, the opposite end of the Island, and he seemed to take it in stride. Truly, I think I experienced a mild sort of culture shock in going up west. Things are quite a bit different up there. |
