Es muy conocido el puente aéreo permanente que mantuvieron los aviones C-130 Hércules de la FAA y algunos Electra de la Armada entre nuestras Islas y el continente. Menos conocido, pero igualmente audaz, es el rescate llevado a cabo por dos helicópteros Sea King de la Armada en Isla Borbón (norte del estrecho de San Carlos). El 31 de Mayo trajeron de vuelta al continente a 10 miembros de la estación aeronaval, inutilizada por un ataque del SAS el 15 de Mayo. La foto los muestra durante los primeros minutos de vuelo. |
