Description
English: Front page of the May 22, 1920, issue of El Universal, Mexico's oldest currently running newspaper. The entire page is dedicated to information about the assassination of President Venustiano Carranza, one of the most important figures in modern Mexican politics and in the Mexican Revolution, as he contributed to the uprising which led to the downfall of dictator Victoriano Huerta and pushed for the creation and ratification of the Mexican Constitution of 1917, which is still in use, defined the workers' rights and laid the foundation for land reform, which were some of the major issues that led to the Revolution.
Español: Portada de la edición del 22 de mayo de 1920 de El Universal, el periódico aún en circulación más antiguo de México. La plana entera está dedicada a informar sobre el asesinato del presidente Venustiano Carranza, una de las figuras más importantes en la política mexicana contemporánea y en la Revolución mexicana, pues él contribuyó al levantamiento que acabó con el dictador Victoriano Huerta e impulsó la creación y ratificación de la Constitución Mexicana de 1917, la cual aún es vigente, definió los derechos de los trabajadores y creó los fundamentos para la reforma agraria, atendiendo unas de las principales causas de la Revolución.
