Description
English: Renovation works at the former tram-depot Tollenstraat in Amsterdam Old-West, district Kinkerbuurt. the photo is taken from in Spring of 2014 and shows the entrance of the central hall which connected all the individual tram-tracks behind the high wooden doors. The facade of the tram remise was built in the Amsterdam School architecture-style; free photo of Amsterdam architecture by Fons Heijnsbroek, 19 March 2014.
Nederlands: Renovatie-werkzaamheden van de natuurstenen hoofdpoort van de oude tram-remise Tollensstraat, in de Kinkerbuurt, Amsterdam Oud-west, 19 maart 2014. Deze renovatie vormde een onderdeel van het grotere De Hallen-project. De voorgevel van de tram-remise was gebouwd in Amsterdamse School architectuur-stijl. Links achter de poort is de grote verbindende hal te zien waar alle hoge houten haldeuren zich wand bevonden; elk van deze haldeuren sloot een aparte hal af, waar een specifieke tramnummer van de stad aan het begin van elke nacht ging parkeren en s'ochtends vroeg weer uitreed; gratis foto van historische gebouwen in Amsterdam door Fons Heijnsbroek.
