| Description |
English: Remains of field dyke. The end-note provides a link to a detailed description of this feature, which runs in an east-west direction across Cochno hill, and which is one of several similar dykes in this area. In this view, it can be seen receding from the photographer's position, passing out of sight a few metres to the left of the highest point on the skyline.
Nearby, forestry planting seemed to be underway on the slopes of Cochno Hill at the time of my visit (about twenty people were milling about not far from where I took this photo); although a space on both sides of this feature is to be kept clear of trees (see the WoSAS link in the end-note), it seemed a good idea to record its course photographically while the view remained relatively uncluttered.
