English: Remains of a structure near Poachy Glen. For the main description, see: 1224662.
This photo shows the other side of the raised area mentioned there. On this side, the area is much more obscured by vegetation. However, the line of the boundary here is the near side of the patch of trampled dry brown ferns in the central foreground. On the right-hand side of the photograph, that trampled patch is separated by a narrow green channel from the other brown vegetation along the right-hand edge of the picture. That apparent channel is the edge of the raised area of the ruin, which extends from there to the dry-stone wall (and possibly a little further, on the other side of the wall). [The ruin is not easy to show photographically, but, as the WoSAS database entry (see the main description, linked above) implies, neither is it particularly easy to discern in person, when on site.] |
