This tugboat is the historic Radium Yellowknife -- once part of the Radium line, flatbottomed tugboats that towed barges of Uranium ore from Radium, NWT to a railhead for shipment to the USA, for the Manhattan Project.
So, what is she doing in Toronto? I am not exactly sure, but I know she traversed the Northwest Passage on her way here, in spite of her shallow draft.
I hope she ends up as a museum ship.
The Metis is now a notch-barge, propelled by a tug, that carries raw cement to the Essroc cement silos on Cherry Street.
The Menier Consol looks like a big WW2 landing craft. She is owned by Toronto Drydock. I am not sure how she is employed.
