Română: Descrierea stemei:

Potrivit anexei nr. 1.3, stema comunei Hălmagiu se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat în partea superioară şi despicat. În interiorul scutului se află o biserică de argint, văzută din faţă. În partea superioară, în stânga, în câmp auriu, se află un brad verde dezrădăcinat. În partea inferioară, în câmp roşu, pe o terasă verde, se află un călăreţ cu armură, care ţine în mâna dreaptă o suliţă, totul de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate:

Construcţia de argint simbolizează biserica voievodală din secolul XIV. Bradul reprezintă bogăţia silvică a zonei. Călăreţul simbolizează participarea oastei româneşti, condusă de voievodul Moga şi fiii săi, la lupta împotriva turcilor din Câmpia Mierlei, din anul 1448. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
