Summary[edit]

Description
English: According to annex no. 1, the coat of arms of Avram Iancu commune consists of a blue triangular shield with rounded edges. Inside the shield is the silver bust of Avram Iancu, looking to the left, and at the top of the shield are placed crossed a musket and a flute, both silver. The shield is stamped by a silver mural crown with a crenellated tower. The meanings of the elements summed up: The bust of Avram Iancu represents the most beloved son of the moți, the Ruler of the moți, but also of Romanians everywhere, revolutionary in 1848. The firearm and flute were Avram Iancu's guiding elements in the fight for justice. The mural crown with a crenellated tower signifies the fact that the locality has the status of a commune.
Română: Potrivit anexei nr. 1, stema comunei Avram Iancu se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular albastru, cu marginile rotunjite. În interiorul scutului se află bustul de argint al lui Avram Iancu, privind spre stânga, iar în vârful scutului sunt plasate încrucişat o puşcă cu cremene şi un fluier, ambele de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat. Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate: Bustul lui Avram Iancu reprezintă pe cel mai iubit fiu al moţilor, Craiul moţilor, dar şi al românilor de pretutindeni, revoluţionar la 1848. Arma de foc şi fluierul au fost elemente călăuzitoare ale lui Avram Iancu în lupta pentru dreptate. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.
