| Description | A U.S. Marine Corps McDonnell RF-4B Phantom II (BuNo 153111) from Marine Composite Reconnaissance Squadron VMCJ-1 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CVA-41). VMCJ-1 Det.101 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5) aboard the Midway in 1974. The RF-4B 153111 crashed on approach to the carrier 90 km south-west of Cubi Point, Philippines, on 3 November 1974. One crewmember was killed. |
