| Description |
English: R.A.F. War memorial near Ulceby Cross, Lincolnshire. This rough granite memorial, polished on the inscription side lies at the side of the road, at the junction of the A16, Louth to Skegness Road, near to Ulceby Cross, on the road to Brinkhill. The memorial is around a metre tall and in good condition.
The inscription reads:- In the early hours of March 4th, 1945 Lancaster PB 476(PHY) of Number 12 Squadron RAF Wickenby crashed near this spot the victim of a Luftwaffe intruder. This memorial was placed here on the 50th anniversary of the crash to commemorate the crew members who died. Flying Officer N.A. ANSDELL Pilot Flying Officer A. HUNTER Navigator Flying Officer A. C.
