English: The Pynchon homestead, the "Old Fort", re-drawn as it appeared in a painting in the Springfield City Library, Springfield, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1660 by John Pynchon, the building was razed in 1831 and is marked by a plaque at the end of Fort Street today.
