Summary[edit]

Description Pvt. Edward J. Bebb, Company D, 4th Iowa Cavalry Regiment, Union Army in the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum. Note: Pvt. Edward J. Bebb, of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, served with Company D, 4th Iowa Cavalry Regiment, Union Army, during the Civil War. On April 16, 1865, Bebb charged a Confederate artillery position, routed the gun crew and seized their battle flag. He received the Medal of Honor on June 17, 1865. This display resides in the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum. It is unique because it is the only display of an authentic Type I Medal of Honor in Iowa.
