此作曾出品在第26屆省展及臺灣師大三十周年美術學系專輯，此作將女性柔美氣質表現得淋漓盡致，堪稱膾炙人口的作品，模特兒為當時藝專學生張俐小姐。

梳妝中的人物，端莊優雅，開朗可人，穿著花圖樣的時髦服裝。李梅樹將近七十歲的年齡，寫實的筆鋒依然銳利，直追西洋大師安格爾、庫爾貝之寫實功力，在早期的臺灣畫壇，頗具代表性。
