العربية: فى يوم السبت الموافق 4أغسطس من عام 1928م ، دعا صاحب السعادة السيد عبد الرحيم الدمرداش باشا إلي منزله بالرمل ،حضرات أصحاب الدولة و المعالي الوزراء وسلمهم كتابا يتضمن تبرعه بمبلغ52 ألف جنيه, وتبرع كريمته( قوت القلوب الدمرداشية)بمبلغ50 ألف جنيه ، ومساحة من الأرض تبلغ15 ألف متر مربع بشارع الملكة نازلي( رمسيس حاليا) ليبني عليها مستشفي خيري يسع57 سريرا ويقام البناء بمبلغ 40 ألف جنيه من المبلغ المتبرع به بعد الاطلاع على التصميم ، وما بقي وهو ستون ألف جنيه يرصد دخله في الإنفاق علي المستشفي بشرط أن تتعهد الحكومة بسد العجز في النفقات .

يذكر أن الدمرداش باشا قد اشترط أن يقام في المستشفي مصلي وأن تبني له حجرة لدفنه فيها .. و قد شيد هذا الضريح و دفن فيه .

وكان من أحد الشروط العشرة التى وضعها الدمرداش باشا وكما جاء فى خطاب التبرع : أن يوضع لي تمثال نصفي داخل المستشفي تدون علي قاعدته العبارة الآتية( تمثال السيد عبد الرحيم الدمرداش باشا منشئ هذا المستشفي).

و لكن التمثال لم يكن قد تم حين وفاته عام 1929م ، و لم ينته منه الفنان لا فى عام 1931م مع الانتهاء من بناء المستشفى ، و قد صنع هذا التمثال المثال المعروف الأستاذ أنطون حجار من البرونز...

و فى الصورة التمثال أثناء تثبيته فى موقعه على النصب المعد له فى مدخل المستشفى و فى الإطار يبدو التمثال فى صورته النهائية قبل تثبيته فوق النصب .
