DescriptionPsittacula krameri -pet -beak injury-8.jpg |
English: Rose-ringed Parakeet, also known as the Ringnecked Parakeet. A female with a beak injury. It is perching on a man's shoulder. The Rose-ringed Parrot, is on Eric's shoulder. This pic was taken shortly after we got her. She was in rough shape...her wing was broken and she had been recently attacked by a larger parrot. Notice the torn beak. Other than the broken wing (which had fused closed long before we got her), she had made a perfect recovery. A year after her recovery, this poor bird suffered two strokes which left it without the use of its right leg. But it's a tough old parrot...because it's been hanging in there for about two years...still eats regularly and sings cheerfuly. Birds name is "Baby". 020104_002a |
