Summary[edit]
DescriptionPseudo Kleinian OpenCL 26082019 8K 004.png |
004: Bildnummer der Bilderserie des Tages English: A Pseudo Kleinian fractal, illustrating the Apollonian gasket and quasi-Fuchsian group as a fractal. This fractal is seen from the side. The main properties of this fractal are the hoop, that circles the biggest sphere. Apart from that, the spheres (the fractal is only made out of spheres) have a order, that they border an imaginary circle (which are infinite in their amount). The circles are ideal, because the "sphere bridges" can get infinitely small at the border so that there are no edges, that corrupt the circle. This fractal is symmetrical. Because this is a discrete group, it can be assigned to the Apollonian Gasket (3D) (largest sphere touches two smaller spheres (which are in the upper left und down left)). Because this fractal is three-dimensional, especially the bigger spheres seem to overhang over the circle construction of the fractal, but the spheres are covered by a "sphere birdge" so they are inside the circle structure (border of the whole fractal).
