Español: La Semana Santa es festividad muy importante en Lebrija, en la que 10 hermandades recorren las calles de la localidad. Los pasos llevan imágenes de la Pasión de Cristo, y son llevados por costaleros, los encargados de ir debajo para mover las plataformas. Así mismo, una banda de música va detrás de cada paso entonando marchas procesionales. La procesión también consta de penitentes, que son miembros de la hermandad vestidos con un ropaje característico y tradicional. Una procesión suele durar en torno a 6 horas. Cada hermandad tiene uno o dos pasos, aunque algunas tienen hasta cuatro. La imagen corresponde al paso de la Virgen de Consolación, de la hermandad de la Vera Cruz, cuya estación de penitencia tiene lugar la mañana del Viernes Santo.
English: The Holy Week is a very important religious festivity in Lebrija, in which 10 brotherhoods march around the streets of the town. The 'pasos' have sculptures of The Passion of Christ, and they are carried by 'costaleros', the men in charge of being under the platforms to move the whole thing. Behind each 'paso' there is a marching band playing. The procession -which is around 6 hours long- also includes 'penitentes', members of the brotherhood dressed up with picturesque traditional clothes. Each brotherhood has one or two 'pasos', but some have as far as four. In this picture you can see the Virgen de la Consolación 'paso', from the Vera Cruz brotherhood, whose procession takes place the Holy Friday morning.
