Title

Probable medieval copper alloy animorphic barrel lock.

Side views.
Description
English: Copper alloy figurine of a lion/dog, probably a barrel padlock. There is incised decoration on the chest representing fur/hair. The tail is broken although it would have probably formed part of the locking mechanism. The left foreleg is also broken. There are also ?bolt holes perforating the figurine: the gaping mouth, the back behind the head and under the belly of the animal. Probably medieval in date.
