Print, photographic. 05/1888. Winton (Jessup). Thirteen men wearing work clothes pose standing and seated at construction site. Timbers, geared pulley, and blocks of stone surround them. Third man from right is Linford Bartholomew. Albumen print mounted on board. In ink: "Filer's/Bridge/Winton-Branch" at upper Left; "May 1888" below on board.

From the Museum Collection: Print, photographic. 05/1888. Winton (Jessup). Thirteen men wearing work clothes pose standing and seated at construction site. Timbers, geared pulley, and blocks of stone surround them. Third man from right is Linford Bartholomew. Albumen print mounted on board. In ink: "Filer's/Bridge/Winton-Branch" at upper Left; "May 1888" below on board. Reverse, in pencil: "Bartholomew/Jack"/illegible. Water stains. Fragile. Photographs and scrapbooks collected by Linford Bartholomew. Bartholomew was a long-time employee of the DL&W Railroad in many positions including flagman, brakeman, and baggage man. When he retired from the Lackawanna in 1938, after working for the railroad for 53 years, he was working as a baggage man. 1869-1959. He resided at 657 N. Hyde Park Ave, Scranton, PA. at the time of his death.
