Description

The Bishop's Block is this crumbly building that was erected between 1829 and 1833, on the northeast corner of Adelaide and Simcoe, before Toronto existed as a city. This historic landmark was subsequently removed from the site, to be restored and reconstructed in situ as part of a hotel/condo development.

In the 20th century, the Bishop's Block housed the Adelaide Hotel, and later the Pretzel Bell tavern.
