DescriptionPretoria, 1900.gif	Afrikaans: Pretoria, vernoem na een van die Voortrekkerleiers, Andries Pretorius, is in 1855 gestig. Hierdie foto toon Kerkplein omstreeks 1900, tydens 'n driemaandelikse nagmaaldiens, wat deur Boere uit die wye omtrek bygewoon is. Vandaar die etlike ossewaens wat op die plein om die kerk geparkeer staan. (Foto: Staatsinligtingdiens Pretoria) Nederlands: Pretoria, genoemd naar de leider der Voortrekkers, Andries Pretorius, werd gesticht in 1855. Deze foto toont het Kerkplein te Pretoria omstreeks 1900, tijdens een driemaandelijkse ‘Nagmaaldiens’, die door Boeren uit de wijde omtrek wordt bijgewoond. Vandaar de vele huifkarren (‘kakebeenwaens’) die op het plein om de kerk geparkeerd staan.
