Description
English: The side of preserved Routemaster bus RML2613 (reg. NML 613E), mostly obscured by the front of RM1204 (see wider image), pictured at the bottom of Haymarket in London, facing south. It's running along the route of London Buses route 159 as a private vehicle (ie not in passenger service), one of several doing the same to mark the last day of non-heritage Routemaster operation in London. The signs read "RML2613 says Farewell To The Routemaster 1955-2005. Out of shot here, it also wore a black ribbon slung from the bonnet to the wing mirrors, and displayed a yellow backed Not in Service sign in the destination blind. Having been purchased for preservation in the Routemaster raffle in December 2004, by now it had received gold London Transport fleetnames, while still wearing the white stripe and garage code Q it wore during its last allocation as a London Central vehicle based at Camberwell garage.
