Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Missouri National Guard responded to a winter storm this week that covered a large part of the state with ice and snow, including Bolivar. The 1138th Military Police Company, based in Springfield, Mo., went on standby by the order of Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon to be prepared to aid citizens and other agencies as the need arose. The 1138th sent soldiers to numerous locations including Newton County, Jasper County, Lebanon, Springfield, Rolla and Bolivar. Sgt. Clint Keltner from Springfield and Spc. Michael Needer from Crane, both of the 1138th MPs, assisted the Bolivar Police Department in Bolivar, Mo. They took Bolivar police officers by Humvee to locations their vehicles could not get to, conducted health and wellness visits, aided motorists who had become stuck and assisted police officers on calls. In this photo Sgt. Keltner and Officer Zach Graham of the Bolivar Police Department perform a presence patrol through Bolivar.
