Title
English: Postal Telegraph Building, 717 1st Ave. at Columbia St., Seattle.
Description
English: *Subjects (LCTGM): Buildings--Washington (State)--Seattle; Business districts--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Postal Telegraph Building (Seattle, Wash.)
This building must have been built almost immediately after the June 1889 Great Seattle Fire, because File:1st Ave, from James St after the fire of June 6, 1889 (CURTIS 1182).jpeg shows it already topped out among the first of the new buildings going in after the fire, probably farther along than the Howard Building, which was definitely operational in 1890. As of 2018, this site is a multi-story car park.
