English: An incomplete Post Medieval silver groat of Elizabeth I (1558- 1603 AD). The section of flan outside of the beaded circle from 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock on the obverse is missing. Initial mark martlet, mint London. North; English Hammered Coinage Vol 2 (1975) p110; No.1986. Date 1560-1561 AD.
