Title
Post Medieval - Spur - Rowel
Description
English: A copper alloy cast spur rowel of 17th century origin (1600-1660). The rowel is in the form of a five pointed star with small intermediate points between each leg. The central hole has been worn to an oval shape and has an initial diameter of 3.8mm now elongated to 5.3mm.

The surface is now corroded to a mid brown with some green copper oxides in evidence.
