Title |
Post Medieval - Shoe Patten |
||
Description |
English: An oval iron patten, possibly dating from the 17th century although they continued in use in Montgomeryshire through the next 2 centuries up until the Second World War (Bailey, G. Iron Foot Pattens, Treasure Hunting, November 2009). This example has the remnants of one of its fixing brackets and just a small up stand of metal where the other bracket would have been. The artefact is now heavily corroded with considerable flaking to the surface. |
