English: Equestrian portrait of Francesco I d'Este, Duke of Modena (1610-1658)
Italiano: "La sala, la cui decorazione fu iniziata nel 1640, già dal '49 era chiamata "camera dei Cavalli" ad indicare che molto probabilmente i ritratti equestri erano già stati collocati entro le cornici in stucco predisposte sulle pareti. L'attribuzione a Federico Lana di questo dipinto proposta dal Fabrizi nella "Descrizione" del 1784 (Pirondini, 1982, p. 87), sembra non offrire elementi sufficenti per non considerarla valida. La produzione ritrattistica del Lana, infatti, resta un problema ancora aperto poichè i dipinti citati dalle fonti non sono giunti ai nostri giorni" [1]
