Selon Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard dans Les peintres en miniature, 1650-1850, Les éditions l'Amateur, Paris,2008, p. 53-54, cité p.54, repr.p55 (c) ; il existe de nombreuses répliques de ce portrait. La composition elle-même, une femme accoudée à sa lyre, inspira d'autres artistes, notamment Delaplace et Delgot."
