Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The aqueduct, undoubtedly the most spectacular structure anywhere on the canal network, is seen here from the southern end looking towards Trevor. It is 1007 feet long and stands 126 feet above the River Dee. As well as providing a popular route for boaters and a water feed into the canal system, it provides a convenient path for locals walking between Froncysyllte and Trevor, avoiding the steep hills of the road route.
