Nederst, direktør i SAS, Johan Nerdrum. Flymannskapet på turen, i uordnet rekkefølge: Flygerne Michael Aschim, Ferdinand Buck, Bjørn Bjørnstad. Navigatører: Einar Sverre Pedersen, Bjarne Heiberg-Andersen, Ivar Engeland, Kåre Klausen. Maskinister: B. Henriksen, Trygve Aasland. Pursere: Per Inseth, Rene de Brucq. Mannskapet var ansatt i SAS, men fløy i militære uniformer, enten fordi det skulle markeres at det var en militær flight, eller fordi de skulle mellomlande på amerikanske militærbaser (forskjellige kilder angir ulike årsaker).
