English: Pleated fan with leaf of parchment painted on both sides. An allegorical wedding scene in classical imagery. By the altar of Hymen (the Greek god of marriage), the couple are tethered to cupid's chariot. At left, a river god. Sticks of carved and pierced ivory, showing a man and woman, inlaid with mother-of-pearl thumb guard, and metal rivet head.
