Description |
English: Playskin Lift Move to Learn garment, which was displayed as part of the museum exhibition Second Skin: The Science of Stretch at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, on view from November 4, 2016 to May 13, 2017.
The Playskin Lift was designed by the University of Delaware’s Move to Learn (M2L) Innovation Lab and its Pediatric Mobility Lab and Design Studio. The nylon-spandex garment has flexible piano-wire cables in channels on the underside of each sleeve, to promote healthy motion and development for infants and children who are dealing with developmental and muscular difficulties such as cerebral palsy and arthrogryposis. |
