Description

'Give Plastic Waste A New Life' (Overvolle bakken aan de Zijdewerf).

Nedvang, de organisatie van het verpakkende bedrijfsleven, is een awareness-campagne gestart voor recycling van plastic afval. Centraal daarbij staat het oranje poppetje Plastic Hero, een bedenksel van het Rotterdamse bureau Wave Communications.

In de teasing-fase was de Hero te zien op abri`s met de slogan: `Ik zit in je speelgoed/koelkast/etc.`. In de huidige fase is het mannetje ook te zien op bijv. Boomerangkaarten, commercials en op masten langs de snelwegen. De pay-off luidt: `Geef plastic afval een nieuw leven`. In 2012 moet het verpakkende bedrijfsleven 42% van alle gebruikte kunststof hergebruiken, zo eist de overheid. Eind 2009 moet tenminste 32% van het plastic afval gescheiden worden ingezameld.
