Summary[edit]

Description
English: A pair of plaques in Lake Forest, California, both created on August 19th but 51 years apart. The first, dated 1970, is commemorating the accomplishments of the marines who served and trained through the United States Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, a now-decommissioned USMC airbase at what later became the Orange County Great Park in Irvine. Near the bottom left corner is the "flying bull" coat-of-arms seen on the patches made for MCAS El Toro, and near the bottom right corner is the "eagle, globe, and anchor" coat-of-arms of the USMC. The second plaque, dated 2021, commemorates those who serve in the United States Armed Forces throughout all of time.
