Español: La minoritaria religión preislámica el "Yazidismo" de Oriente Medio, de remoto origen y cuyas raíces se remontan a 2000 adC, aun siendo siendo predominantemente de origen kurdo, tiene pequeñas comunidades repartidas entre Irak, Armenia, Irán, Georgia, Siria y Turquía. Algunos yazidíes viven en Europa (especialmente Alemania) y en América del Norte.
Los yazidíes honran los árboles y los ríos y por esta razón, no pueden comer lechuga ni vestir de azul. Explicaciones de este extraño tabú .... " Que el diablo se esconde en las lechugas."
