Summary[edit]

Description
English: In a world where untouched natural beauty is becoming increasingly rare, these sand bars serve as a reminder of the magic that the Earth holds. The pink sand of Sta. Cruz Island in Zamboanga is a natural phenomenon caused by the presence of microscopic organisms known as Foraminifera. These organisms have reddish-pink shells made of calcium carbonate. When these shells accumulate over time and mix with the white sand, they give the beach its distinctive pink hue. Both Little Sta. Cruz. Great Sta. Cruz Island are not just places. They also hold significant ecological value that should be safeguarded. There are initiatives to promote tourism practices ensuring that the future generations can relish their magnificence, for years to come. Located at Zamboanga City, Philippines. Taken using a camera drone. upper right corner is Great Sta. Cruz Island, lower right is Little Sta. Cruz Island and it's sandbar
