Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_63129_IMG_20200311_114143.jpg Notes: מלון אלקונין-צנטרל הוא אחד מהמלונות הראשונים בתל אביב. בשנות ה-40 הוסב הבניין לדירות מגורים עד שהוזנח .החל מ-2013 עובר תהליך שיפוץ. המלון נבנה על ידי מנחם נחום אלקונין שעלה ארצהעם אשתו, מלכה, ו-6 ילדים ב-1912 מרוסיה. הוא רכש מבעל קרקעות איזרסקי, מגרש של 3 דונם בין שכונת נווה צדק לאחוזת בית ועליו הקים ב-1913 בית מגורים ומלון. מקים המלון היה הקבלן שמואל נתן וילסון. במלון היו 2 קומות בסגנון האקלקטי ו 38 חדרים. התארחו בו דוד בן-גוריון, יצחק בן-צבי, אלברט איינשטיין, חיים ויצמן ועוד. מויקיפדיה.
