עברית: מגדל המים בחוות שיאון ,Original Image Name: מגדל המים בחוות שיאון ,Notes: (מתוך האתר של חברת שיאון): תחילתה של ההזרעה המלאכותית בארץ או כפי שנקראה הפריה מלאכותית , בתחילת שנות ה – 30 . זכות הראשונים מגיעה לד'ר פוקס שכותב : "הנסיון של ס.ס.ס.ר (...ברית המועצות) הוכיח ששיטת ההפריה המלאכותית הנה כלי הזין המצוין למלחמה במחלות". בשנת 1948 היו 21 מרכזי הזרעה. בשנת 1952 החל תהליך של איחוד אגודות ההזרעה המקומיות והקטנות לאגודות אזוריות גדולות. בסיומו של תהליך איחוד האגודות נשארו בארץ שתי אגודות גדולות, אחת בצפון ואחת בדרום. בשנת 2001 אוחדו שתי אגודות אלו לאגודה אחת- "שיאון". ,Location: חוות שיאון, מדרום לקיבוץ חפץ חיים
