There is a naturaltendency with beginners in this movementto incline head and trunk backward, butthis must be overcome. Throughout thebody must be held in position, yet so easilythat the arms and shoulders do all the work.Fifteen seconds is at first long enough tocontinue the movement, which, after somedeep breathing, may be repeated. Latertwenty seconds, and finally half a minute,may be given to each of the two bouts.
