English: Triumph of Vainglory, from BNF ms. Latin 6069-I, Petrarch's De Viris Illustribus, c.1380. The image is thought to be based on a fresco by Giotto in the palace of Azzone Visconti, in Milan. This is one of the forerunners of the iconographic tradition illustrating Petrarch's Triumphs.
