Description

bridge from portugal: pesos da régua... Peso da Régua commonly known as Régua, is a city and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 94.9 km² and approximately 10,000 city residents and a total population of 17,987 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of 12 parishes, and is located in the district of Vila Real.

Peso da Régua is a Port Wine centre in the upper Douro valley. Tourist boats ply the river from this point carrying tourists through the locks of two dams to Régua. The town is also connected to Porto by train with the line running along the banks of the Douro
