| Description | The Caterpillar Administration Building from the Savings Tower, the tallest building in Peoria in 1974. The Illinois River and Murray Baker Bridge are in the background. The city parking lot by the river is at the right, not flooded (unlike an earlier photo). The old CILCO electric power plant is in the right background. I-74 climbs the bluff on the east side of the Illinois River, in the direction of Morton - and beyond to Champaign-Urbana, Indianapolis, and many other points east. |
