Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Patterned ground near the summit of Morven Frost action has forced fragments of rock up to the surface in lines, stripes and, here, polygons, separated by finer material. Vegetation selectively grows on the finer material, producing a pattern of stones and low plants more typical of the high Arctic. The process has stalled here, and the remains are a "fossil" as permafrost no longer exists here. |
