Paterson, New Jersey - Textiles. The warp threads of the section that has just been wound on the frame have been cut (English)
Paterson, New Jersey - Textiles. The warp threads of the section that has just been wound on the frame have been cut. The operator is shown tying up the ends of the section. The tied-up ends of the sections previously wound are clearly visible on the frame, all in uniform position. As soon as this operator is finished, the new section will be started. The number of threads in a section is determined by the number of bobbins placed on the creel. With the type of creel shown in a previous picture, about seven or eight hundred ends or threads will constitute a section; the number of sections will be determined by the number of ends required for the warp.
